BROS RŌMAN BRÄUN
Architecture, interdisciplinary design, and research.
We have worked together in different capacities since 1994, when we met at Auburn University. We were part of a class that helped transform an intensely competitive culture into one of cooperation and collaboration. That shared experience continues to shape our practice.

Andrew G. Roman
Partner & Creative Director
Andrew’s work is shaped by talented mentors, a love of learning and teaching, and a drive to create and solve problems. His experience spans design, production, and management.
Filotimo—the Greek idea of helping a friend simply because it is the right thing to do—took him to China, where his associate team helped Neri & Hu build new businesses. Eight years in Asia deepened his engagement with design, history, and culture.
Central Florida is home. Andrew volunteers on community boards and economic development committees, travels locally and abroad, and balances an interest in quantum physics with an unapologetic love of cartoons. Time with his wife and family, and journeys to places such as a monastery built into a mountainside, round out his life.

Steven Wade Braun
Partner & Projects Director
Steven grew up in Miami before moving to the Tennessee Valley for high school. At Auburn University, he explored experimental 3D work, using video game engines to communicate architectural narratives. Sharing these methods with other students sparked an interest in teaching.
Years teaching architectural history at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga strengthened his love of learning and education. His interests span architecture, art, and the written word.
Outside the studio, Steven enjoys climbing, kayaking, surfing, and backcountry hiking. Travel and time outdoors with his wife, Kerri, are sources of connection and inspiration. The writings of Emerson, Muir, and Thoreau inform his outlook.
